Additional Damp Downpours Ahead

Good afternoon, Athens and North Georgia! The overcast, wet pattern that has been in place over our area looks to persist over the next few days, largely thanks to the passage of the remnant energy of newly formed Tropical Strom Arthur by early Friday morning. Due to the clouds and rain, daily high temperatures have continued to remain low; as we near the end of the week, we can expect another wave of showers and storms. If you have any activities planned for Thursday and Friday, be sure to pack an umbrella!

For tomorrow's high in Athens, we are expecting to reach around 78 degrees, with the morning low falling down to 70 degrees. In Canton, the rain is forecast to start sooner, and temperatures are expected to reach up to 77 degrees, with the low falling down to around 69. As you go about your activities through the week, remember to stay safe and dry through this period of wet weather. Have a great week and Go Dawgs!
