Another Weekend Cold Front

Margaret Needham

For our viewers in North Georgia and Athens, we have been experiencing mostly clear conditions and cool temperatures throughout the week. But, as we head into Friday, we can expect a break in these conditions, with mostly cloudy conditions and a chance of rain coming into our area.

Tonight's forecasted low for Athens is in the mid 50s. A slight 10% chance of rain is present, but this chance will increase into tomorrow as rain from NW Georgia reaches our area. The highest chance of rain is around 60% around morning commute hours. Due to mostly cloudy conditions, we will stay warm, with the high temperature in the low 70s.

North Georgia is also expected to have a low in the mid 50s tonight, but the chance of rain is 60%. A 40% chance of rain will remain present for the early morning hours, but most of this rain should clear throughout the day, leaving mostly cloudy conditions. Tomorrow's high is expected to be around 70.

A cold front will be moving in late Friday night into Saturday morning, pushing out this wet, cloudy weather and leaving clear conditions in its wake. Temperatures will be mild, with highs in the low 70s and lows in the upper 40s.
