Beautiful Day

Good evening Athens and North Georgia! We had an active weather weekend here in North Georgia but, the good news is, the weather is expected to be quite peaceful for the start of the week. For much of the North Georgia region, we are expecting lows below freezing for most of the week as strong polar air has infiltrated our region. But do not fear, we are expected to rebound into the 50s for your highs in north Georgia.

For Athens we are expecting a low of 27 tonight and a high of 57 during the day tomorrow with dry conditions and plentiful sunshine.

For the greater North Georgia region, you can expect lows in the mid 20s tonight and highs tomorrow reaching the low 50s.

Looking further ahead, we are watching for some potential winter weather Wednesday morning. Based on current model guidance, high elevations and northwest Georgia will have the greatest chance to see wintry precipitation. We will keep you updated as we go into tomorrow. Precipitation totals, precipitation types and their locations will be clearer then

Stay warm and go dawgs!
