Calm before the storm!

Mason Sikes

Good evening Athens and North Georgia! We had a wet day yesterday, with Athens receiving over an inch and a half of rain, with rain totals higher in the North Western parts of Georgia. We had a rather cloudy, yet pleasant day, but the calm is expected to change as we move into this weekend. For Athens we are expecting a low of 32 and a high of 57. So while nippy tonight, we are expecting great sweater weather for tomorrow. So bundle up and stay warm.

For North Georgia we are expecting a low of 28 and a high of 52. So if you do need to go out tonight, grab something warm to wear! As we move into this weekend, another precipitation event is expected to bring even more rain as we move from Saturday night into Sunday morning. Storms could potentially get severe, so stay dry and stay weather aware, be ready for some interesting weather as we finish off this week. Stay warm and go Dawgs! -MS
