Cool Air Ahead

Hello Athens!

Today in the Classic City you may have noticed it was still a tad bit warm. We hit a high temperature of 81 degrees, not exactly what Fall weather lovers hope for in October, but reprieve is on its way! Tonight in Athens we are expecting to hit about 67 degrees, similar to last night. There is slight possibility of showers, but if anything it will be short lived drizzle-like events, still important to be aware of it though.

Overnight a cold front will begin pushing in through North Georgia overnight and making its way south and east bringing cooler temps to areas in north west Georgia first. Meanwhile Athens is still expecting high temperatures tomorrow to reach the low 80's, but that cool, dry fall air is en route to our area soon enough. Along with that approaching front we can expect to see some spot showers bringing us some much needed rain, though no massive rainfall totals are expected.

Go Dawgs!
