Dreary Weekend Forecast

For our viewers in North Georgia and Athens, we have been experiencing warm, dry weather throughout the week. Much of our area is experiencing severe drought conditions. However, we are expecting an abrupt change in these conditions as some much needed rain enters our area over the weekend.

Tonight's forecasted low for Athens is around 60, due to increased cloud cover. These clouds will persist tomorrow, bringing the high down to the low 70s - much cooler than we have seen throughout the week. A 10% chance of rain is present.

For North Georgia, tonight's forecasted low is also around 60. The overnight chance of rain is 10%. Cloud cover will result in tomorrow's temperature only rising to the upper 60s, and the chance of rain will increase to 20%.

As we look toward Georgia's 7:00 P.M. kickoff vs. Ole Miss in Athens on Saturday, we can expect dreary conditions. Temperatures will be in the low 50s, with a light, misty rain. Make sure you bundle up and bring a rain coat to the game! Go Dawgs!
