Athens and the North Georgia area got some much needed rain the past 24 hours. Today, Athens hit a high of 66 degrees. Expect similar conditions tomorrow, as more rain moves into our area in the early afternoon hours tomorrow. Rain should clear out by Saturday morning, with the possibility of a stray shower in the early morning hours.

Looking ahead past the rain, the weekend is shaping up to be a nice, fall like weekend. Temperatures on Saturday are in the high 70's, with lows in the mid to upper 50's. Sunday's high is forecast to be cooler, as highs will only be in the mid to upper 60's. Lows Sunday night will be in the mid to upper 40's.
