Rain, Rain Come Again

We have been experiencing some clear and sunny conditions throughout the week in Athens and North Georgia. So, if you have been enjoying these spring-like conditions, do not fret for they will continue into tomorrow along with the rise in temperatures. However, as we near the weekend we will see the short but sure return of rain.

In Athens, we will feel the low dip right back down into the upper 30s that you may get a taste of in the early morning hours. As the day progresses, we expect a significant climb in temperature peaking at 67 degrees. Much warmer than today's high but as clouds roll in from the incoming low pressure system, temperatures will make a slight decline into the evening. As a cold front from the system pushes into Georgia Thursday evening, we can expect a 60% chance of rain for the Athens area.

For North Georgia, we can expect a forecast very similar to Athens with lows dipping into the upper 30s and the high reaching up to 66 degrees. The North Georgia region will see those clouds and rain roll in slightly earlier than Athens, but the chance of rain for this region remains at 60%.

Thank you for checking in with the Weather Dawgs and keep on the lookout for further updates on changing conditions this weekend. As always, GO DAWGS!
