Warmer temperatures continue, rain on the horizon

Ansley Parker

After high temperatures have been in the 60's this week, we are starting to think the groundhog was onto something! Our warm temperatures today are going to carry us into a low tonight of 52, with around a 10% chance of rain in the early morning hours.

The warm weather is going to continue tomorrow with a high of 67 and rain moving into the Athens area in the morning and sticking around for the majority of the day. This rain is being driven by a cold front which is going to push into the southeast tomorrow evening, causing us to continue to have a 60% chance of rain as we move into Friday.

Looking towards this weekend, that cold front is going to push through and drop high temperatures into the lower to mid 50's, with overnight lows in the upper 30's. Prepare for another taste of winter this weekend before we start seeing highs back in the 60's next week!
