We're Wedged

Did you notice that today was cooler than expected? That's because of rain-cooled air from yesterday and today that stayed over North Georgia and did not budge. We call that "The Wedge" and it's still hard to forecast, even with the best models. We think that tomorrow, Friday, will also stay cool even as the wedge finally retreats to the northeast. But a weak cold front will move through quickly after, so temperatures in Athens and North Georgia will be in the 60s tomorrow. Looking ahead, there will more rain coming in Saturday night and Sunday, but May will start off with a nicer Monday. In the meantime, keep your umbrella and raincoat near by!
