Where Did the Sun Go?

Ever since Sunday, Athens and North Georgia has been locked in a pattern of cloudy, rainy, cold weather. Today has been no different, and our temperatures have not climbed much at all today, reaching only to around 52, and winds have been gusting upwards of 20mph today. Going through the night, we'll see temperatures dip into the upper 40s, and the pattern is going to continue tomorrow, as temperatures will remain in the low 50s.

Also on tap for tomorrow is more rain! We're expecting another low-pressure system to power its way through the North Georgia area tomorrow, beginning around 10am to lunchtime for the western half of the state, and after noon for areas east of the metro Atlanta area. Another half inch of much needed rain is expected for much of the area, with some spots receiving even more! By sunset most of the showers will have moved through, leaving a sprinkle or two to fall in the evening and overnight hours.

Looking to Thursday and beyond, we're finally going to get to see the sun again! It will cool off slightly, but the cloudy skies will subside, and we'll have a nice stretch of sunny days going into the weekend!
