Time to Bundle Up!

Good evening, North Georgia! We had a gorgeous weekend: clear blue skies and tempeatures in the low 80s. Following a cold front moving across the state this afternoon, we can expect to see a dramatic drop in temperatures for the remainder of the week, bringing us the coldest conditions we have seen so far this season.

After seeing a low in the low 60s last night, we can expect to see a 20 degree cool down tonight, our low dropping all the way to the low 40s. Make sure you have a jacket with you for your morning commute or walk to classes tomorrow! You'll want to keep that jacket on hand as you head through the rest of your week. We are expecting to see our first frosts overnight on Wednesday and Thursday, our lows reaching the mid to upppr 30s for the first time since April!

The Athens area will see a high in the upper 60s tomorrow, while areas further north will see highs in the low 60s. These will be the highest temperatures we see for the next couple of days: on Wednesday, Athens will only reach the low 60s, while northeast Georgia will struggle to get out of the 50s.

Even if you are not a fan of this week's cooler tempeatures, you can take comfort in the fact that we do not expect to see any rain for the next week! High pressure continues to influence our weather, meaning the cloudless, blue skies we have seen for the past week will stick around for a while longer.

Enjoy the fall weather this week and, as always, Go Dawgs!
